Portal is a speculative project situated within my show entitled “Free-drumming”. This piece is a transforms marching snare drum into a device which gives the viewer a lens into the virtual space through an integrated display. This space is representative of what a posthuman version of marching band drummers and their environment could look like. The drum emits sounds that are representative of distorted rhythmic patterns and vocals.
